Like its predecessor, FreeFlight 3, FreeFlight Pro offers a variety of adjustment that let you fine-tune your Parrot Disco to your preferences.
To access Settings, do the following:
1. Go to FLY & FILM at FreeFlight Pro's main page.
2. Tap Settings at the piloting screen.
The first settings page (FIRST PERSON VIEW) opens. You can select different setting parameters via the left scroll bar. To go back to the main page, press tap
In FPV, you can select whether to auto-launch the FPV goggle view when you connect your smart device to Parrot Skycontroller 2, as well as adjust the distance between the two view ports in the goggle.
Below FPV is Piloting. Here you can reset the pitch of the drone, as well as its stand-by (loitering) parameters.
Position lets you set the height and the distance the drone can travel, in addition to calibrating and flat trimming Parrot Disco for better flight stability.
GEOFENCE is a useful feature to help prevent Parrot Disco from going too far. When you activate GEOFENCE, Parrot Disco will turn around when it reaches the set maximum distance.
If GEOFENCE is turned off, a warning on the piloting screen will notify you that Parrot Disco has reached its distance limit, at which point the drone will not turn around but continue its course until you manually fly it back.
RTH (Return To Home) ensures that you will never lose your Parrot Disco when you lose Wi-Fi connection. In the event of a lost connection, Parrot Disco will return to its starting point if the connection is not re-established within the pre-set time period.
Network is where you can adjust the quality of your Wi-Fi connection.
You can change the name of your Parrot drone by:
Type in a new name in the field.
Reboot Parrot Disco
*Note: The network name can only contain letters, numbers and underscores ("_"), and must not exceed 32 characters.
*Note: by default there is no password set.
If you do not have a password, or if you want to set a different password, you may do so in WPA2:
Tap the “WPA2” button.
Enter the password you want to set.
Select your region/country.
Activate this for outside flying.
Connects Parrot Disco to 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.
The 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band enables you to fly your Parrot drone from a greater distance. Generally, it is also more congested than the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band in urban areas.
The 5 GHz Wi-Fi band lets you have a better connection between Parrot Disco and your smartphone for video streaming. Check your smartphone user guide to see whether it can connect to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. Otherwise, use the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band instead.
