1. Where can I find the software version of my Parrot Disco? First, connect to your Parrot Disco, then in the FreeFlight Pro application, click on the name of your device (Example: DISCO-891012)
Finally, on the next screen you will see various information about your Parrot Disco, including its software version

On your smartphone/tablet via FreeFlight Pro
If you choose to fly without the Parrot Cockpitglasses, the display screen on your smart device will look like this:
This view combines the telemetry and radar functions into one Heads-Up-Display (HUD).
On your Parrot Cockpitglasses
*Note: make sure your smartphone display is set to Standard when in FPV mode.
Press RIGHT FRONT TRIGGER button once to look through the camera of your smartphone while wearing the Parrot Cockpitglasses. Press RIGHT FRONT TRIGGER again to go back to FPV/drone-camera mode.
Press LEFT FRONT TRIGGER on Parrot Skycontroller 2 to switch from Radar to Telemetry/HUD to Full Screen mode.
There are several display modes in Freeflight Pro application:
Radar : Information about your Parrot drone's position.
Telemetry : Distance between the pilot and the drone, altitude, speed, landing pattern, GPS strength, and both the drone and the Parrot Skycontroller battery levels.
Full Screen : Live video streaming from the front camera of the Parrot drone without any other information.
FreeFlight Pro replaces FreeFlight 3 for Bebop Drone, Bebop 2 and Parrot Disco.

1 - Side menu bar: Press to get Flight Plan, to buy a drone or check for updates.
2 - My flights: See your flight history and register for Academy / Parrot Cloud.
3 - Connect to a drone: Press the "v" shaped button to connect.
4 - Remote controller: Access to Skycontroller and Skycontroller 2 settings.
5 - Fly and film: Access to the piloting interface.
6 - Buy a drone / Flight Plan: The brick changes if you get Flight Plan (in-app purchase).
Once your drone is connected:
1 - Side Bar button: Access to "Drone school", "Buy a drone", "Check for Updates", "About", and the version of FreeFlight Pro installed.
2 - Connected drone: Displays the drone's network name and information: product type, hardware version, software version, GPS version, number of flights, last flight time, total flight time, last motor error.
3 - Internal memory: Displays the available storage space and the number of new pictures taken. 4 - Wi-Fi networks: Detects your drone.
5 - Controller Settings: Access the button settings for Skycontroller and Skycontroller 2.
6 - Flight Plan: In-app Purchase*.
7 - Fly and film: Access piloting interface.
* Note: You may need to connect your drone first to be able to see Flight Plan on the main screen.
MyFlights lets you see your flight history, we recommend you to register in order to have access to Academy/Parrot Cloud. Being registered permits you to retrieve and share your flight data.
Settings section lets you set the controls, GPS features, the First Person View behavior and Wi-Fi settings. Make sure the settings are compliant with local laws of the selected country.
FPV (First Person View)
Auto Launch: Disable or enable FPV can be activated by default.
Eye Spacing: Adjusts the spacing between left-eye and right-eye views in FPV mode.
Note that FPV is not available when using a tablet.
Pitch Mode: Lets you choose the drone's pitch control.
Loitering Direction: Determines which direction (left or right) the drone circles overhead.
Loiter Radius: Limits the drone's overhead orbiting circumference.
Loiter Altitude: Limits the height at which the drone circles.
Position, Distances and Limits
Flat Trim: Resets the internal sensors for level flight for your Bebop Drone, Bebop 2 and Parrot Disco; make sure you always Flat trim the drone on a flat surface.
Calibrate: The Parrot Disco asks for calibration when required, you can calibrate before each flight.
Max/Min altitude: Limits the height at which the drone can fly.
Max Distance: Limits the drone's range. You will be notified when Parrot Disco reaches this value.
Geofence: When max distance is set and Geofence is activated, Parrot Disco will return to the starting position when it reaches maximum distance.
*Note: If Geofence is not activated, Parrot Disco will not return after it reaches max distance.
Return Home (RTH)
Return Delay after disconnection: Limits the disconnection time before the drone initiates return home.
Network Name: Lets you change the name of your drone. Activate WPA2 to set a password for your Parrot Disco's Wi-Fi network.
Location: Select the country/region you are in. Activate OUTDOOR for flying outside.
Wi-Fi band: You may choose Wi-Fi channel and band or leave the setting on automatic select.
*Note: The network name of the Bebop 2 can only contain letters, numbers and underscores ("_"). It must not exceed 32 characters in length.
To access the record setting, press the button on the left side of the record button.
The video/photo settings page opens.
Choose between video, photo, and time-lapse mode photography, you can also adjust refresh rate, white balance (to augment ambient light in your environment), as well as exposure (via the red sliding bar).
Video recording starts automatically when you press the Take off button. The RECORD icon flashes during video recording.
To stop recording, press the button on Skycontroller 2. To record a new video, press again.
Use your finger to move the red dial at the bottom of the screen to change exposure. Or use the scroll wheel R1 on your Parrot Skycontroller 2.
*Note: You cannot shoot videos and photos simultaneously
DNG (RAW) - This mode takes a raw fish-eye photo with a 180° FOV at a 4096×3072 pixels resolution in a DNG format. DNG is compatible with professional grade editing software such as Photoshop or Lightroom.
JPEG - JPEG mode takes a screen shot of the video stream at a 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The image quality is slightly degraded because video image stabilization tends to remove sharpness and accentuate edges. In this mode, you can quickly take pictures (shutter delay is very short) that are not distorted and with a light file size.
JPEG 180 - lets you take a fish eye shot with a 180° FOV. This mode offers small editing possibilities.
The default picture format is DNG, slide the red dial at the bottom of the screen to change exposure.
On your Parrot Skycontroller 2, press the button to take a photo.
The internal memory capacity of the Parrot Disco is 32 GB, the number of stored photos is dependent upon the format selected.
For best photo quality, we recommend leaving the photo setting in DNG mode.
Time-lapse lets you take photos at preset intervals. Use the white slider on the right to set the interval between 1 to 300 seconds.
*Note: Picture format for time-lapse mode is the same as photo mode.
The map is accessible using the satellite/map button on the lower right side of the piloting interface.
For the optimal FPV experience, your smartphone must meet the following criteria:
Screen size: between 4.7 and 5.7 inches (119-145 mm)
Maximum length: 6.30 inches/160 mm
Maximum width: 3.1 inches/78.6 mm
Thickness: between 0.27 and 0.40 inches (6.8-9.8 mm)
The front camera should be placed opposite the USB connector.
1. Make sure you have downloaded the free FreeFlight Pro app from the App Store ® or Google Play TM to your smartphone or tablet.
2. Pull out the phone cradle.
3. Open the cradle
4. Pass your smartphone’s USB cable through the cradle's side opening.
5. Plug one end of your smartphone’s USB cable into the Parrot Skycontroller 2, and the other end into your smartphone.
6. Turn on Parrot Skycontroller 2, and open FreeFlight Pro, wait for the controller to connect to your phone.
7. Turn on Parrot Disco, wait for the drone to connect to your phone.
> By default FPV mode is activated when the drone is connected, if not, tap in the cockpit view window to turn it on.
8. Align the center line on the FPV display (on your smartphone) with the doted line on the inside of the cradle cover. Make sure the smartphone is resting against the bottom edge of the cover before you close the cover.
9. Make sure the cradle is tightly closed before sliding it back into the goggle.
10. Adjust the strap so the goggle fits snugly on your head.
Downloading and installing update
1. Connect your smartphone to the Parrot Skycontroller 2 with a micro-USB cable (for iOS, use the phone cable), then turn on the controller.
2. At the FreeFlightPro main page, go to FLY&FILM.
3. In the cockpit view window, tap Settings
4. On the FIRST PERSON VIEW page, scroll down and tap the Controller icon , then tap CHECK FOR UPDATES.
5. You will be prompted if update is required. Tap OK to begin updating.
6. Tap OK again at the second prompt to continue the update. To return to the main page, tap CANCEL.
7. FreeFlight Pro downloads the update and installs it automatically.
1. Connect one end of the charging cable (supplied) to Parrot Skycontroller 2's charging port.
2. Connect the other end of the charging cable to the charger, then plug the charger into a wall outlet; the charging light turns red.
3. Charging light turns green when the controller is fully charged.
*Note: You CANNOT charge Parrot Skycontroller 2 via USB.
Attaching smartphone/tablet clip
Installing the smartphone/tablet holder to Parrot Skycontroller 2
1. Insert the holder into the designated slot on Parrot Skycontroller 2, then tighten the bolt.
You can change the holder's orientation by pushing down and rotating the bed. To extend the bed, push the side button.
2. Position your smartphone/tablet on the holder and retract the bed extension to secure it.
3. Connect your smartphone/tablet to the Parrot Skycontroller 2 via USB. FreeFlight Pro starts when you have a connection.
On your Parrot Skycontroller 2, press to take a photo.
Make sure the drone you are flying has enough internal memory to store the photos. The maximum storage capacity depends on the file format selected.
*Note: For good quality photos, set the format to DNG in FreeFlight Pro.
**Note: Parrot Skycontroller 2 ships with default button-mapping. You can reconfigure button functions to your preferences.
Recording starts automatically when you press Take-off .
The RECORD icon flashes while video is being recorded.
To stop recording, press .
To record a new video, press again.
*Note: You cannot film videos and take photos simultaneously.
Use the FRONT-RIGHT ROTARY DIAL to change the brightness of the scene.
Change camera angle
Use the FRONT-LEFT ROCKER SWITCH to change the camera angle.
You can fly Parrot Bebop Drone, Parrot Bebop 2, and the Parrot Disco with Parrot Skycontroller 2. Before you do so, you must "pair" (connect) the drone and the controller.
Pairing speeds up the time it takes to connect various devices. Once the initial connection is established, the drone and the controller will connect automatically the next time when you want to fly.
Auto-pairing/connecting with your smartphone/tablet via FreeFlight Pro
*Note: when connecting, always follow this order : controller > smart device > drone.
1. Connect the controller to your smartphone/tablet via a USB cable.
2. Press the ON/OFF button on Parrot Skycontroller 2 to turn it on.
> When the USB icon appears next to the Parrot Skycontroller 2 icon , connection is established.
3. Press the ON/OFF button on the drone to turn it on.
4. Wait until the status light on the controller is a steady green. Parrot Skycontroller 2 is connected to the drone.
*Note: when prompted to calibrate the controller, follow the on-screen instructions.
Manual-pairing/connecting with your smartphone/tablet via FreeFlight Pro
1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, under CHOOSE A NETWORK, select the name of your drone (for example, Bebop2-xxxxxx).
2. Open FreeFlight Pro, at the main page, you should see the drone's status as connected.
If you do not see a connection, tap the Wi-Fi icon and select the drone from the drop-down list.
1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and select your drone (for example, Bebop2-xxxxxx).
2. Open FreeFlight Pro, at the main page, you should see the drone's status as connected.
*Note: FreeFlight Pro interface is identical in both iOS and Android.
Connecting without a smartphone/tablet
You can fly the Parrot Bebop Drone, Parrot Bebop 2, and Parrot Disco with the Parrot Skycontroller 2 only. You need a smartphone or a tablet to access to any feedback on telemetry, radar, battery reserve, and other information.
1. Press the ON/OFF button on Parrot Skycontroller 2 to turn it on.
2. Press the ON/OFF button on the drone to turn it on.
3. Wait until the status light on the controller is a steady green. Parrot Skycontroller 2 is connected to the drone.
*Note: we recommend that you fly with a smartdevice.
Return home (RTH)
To recall your Parrot Bebop Drone, Parrot Bebop 2, or Parrot Disco to its starting point, press the return button on Parrot Skycontroller 2, or tap in FreeFlight Pro.
*Note: RTH mode DOES NOT FEATURE OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE! Make sure that the fly path is cleared of any obstacle, and that you have line-of-sight with the drone at all times.
Parrot Bebop Drone
In RTH mode, Parrot Bebop Drone climbs to 30 ft/10 m and heads back to its starting point in a straight line. Once the Parrot Bebop Drone reaches its starting point, it hovers at 30 ft/10 m above the ground.
Parrot Bebop 2
Once in RTH mode, Parrot Bebop 2 climbs to an altitude of 60 ft/20 m and heads back to its starting point in a straight line. Once the Parrot Bebop 2 reaches its starting point, it hovers at 60 ft/20 m above the ground.
When Return Home is activated, Parrot Disco sets its altitude to 150 ft/50 m (default altitude) and heads for the starting position. Once there, Parrot Disco orbits overhead in a 180 ft/60 m-diameter circle at the same altitude.
