I was flying my bebop 2 in an urban area and I pressed the return to home button and it started coming back then all of a sudden it just fell out of the sky and smashed. So I returned it 2 the shop were I bought it and they said they couldn't replace it because I was flying in an urban area and it's illegal. I understand it was probably illegal 2 fly in an urban area but does that give them the right to not replace it because of that? After all it was a fault in there product whether I was flying in an urban area or not I thought. Would appreciate it if anybody else was in this position if u could let me know thanks in advance.
The new bebop2 just arrived charged the batteries and I'm ready.....but I can't insert battery the connector inside the parrot is of centre and very loose and also having a black cable about 30mm in a loop hanging out around the inside connector. any suggestions?
Having just received some new props from eBay I see that the blades are slightly longer, is this the case with the bebop 2? as mine is the bebop, hopefully I can carefully trim these to size, has anyone else had this problem?
Today my new Disco (3 week old - just one - 12 min flight from yesterday) crash and i dont now why. All last updates are made. In distance from 500 m and 90 m high i lost signal, video and than - crash. CHUCK is not working, camera is broken... What can i do now ??? Thanks
Hello Parrot Bebop 2 Pilots! I was curious what you guys thought about in getting a supplimental GPS (ex. the tile app)? This would be for in case of fly aways, etc. (Also, how would you fix it to your drone?) Thanks, -Iron
Hi folkz ... ... replaced the defect mainunit of a bebop2. It works like a charm but FF didn't display the correct serial. It only shows 18 "0" (000000000000000000) Is that correct for a replaced mainunit?
I have read that some Sequoia units have problems with power supply , the informations on technical documents are not univocal , somewhere it is written 2 A elsewhere 2,4 A . What really surprised me is that for a 2,4 A consumption a standard USB connector and cable was choosen. As far as I know, standard USB is not for high currents applications ,Micro USB type B connector handles a maximum of 1,8 A , while there are other types of Usb connector that can handle high currents , i.e Usb -C , 3A or Usb - PD (power delivery) , 3A @ 5 volts maximum. Since the length and the probable tiny AWG of the Usb cable, wouldn't be a good idea to raise the supply voltage to 5,3 volts ?
I have a Parrot Zik 1, the issue I am having is regarding the Microphone. Each time I use Facetime on my Macbook Pro 2015, or Skype the receiver end can not hear my correctly. Can you pls advise me on what to do? I have enjoyed the headphones otherwise. Thanks...John
Dear everyone, For a couple of weeks i'm encountering a problem with the calibration of my bebop 1 drone. I am able to connect to it with my mobile phone (samsung galaxy s6) and i can fly with it, but i'm simply not able to calibrate it. Everytime i try to calibrate the drone the screen freezes, and goes back to the flight interface. Does anyone have a possible solution? Regards, Pim Fischer
Parrot, Although your Skycontroller2 has a great design and works wonderfully I hope that you will update the operating system on the Skycontroller1 to allow it to be used on the Disco. The old controller is a substantial, ergonomic and beautiful piece of equipment. Perhaps it is the Disco that needs updating to use Skycontroller1. Either way, please keep the SC1 functional as an important part of Parrot's flying infrastructure.
This mod will make your warantee voide, but when you feel it is time this Diy mod will deffently give you longer range ! I have been using Extenders for a number of my Drones, but was not sure how to get the most for my money when doing this for the Bebop 2 and Disco. I wanted to keep the cost down so I searched out some items along with using some Antennas I already had. It ended up working Great :-) If you would like to see the finished project, I put together a short video. https://youtu.be/v7cVsAX4eBo
It's been a year since I purchased my BB2. 160 flights with two minor crashes. I was circling the base of a tree and bumped it stopping the motors. Fell three feet into weeds. No damage. Crash #2 was when I discovered that pitch and roll controll goes away around 90 degrees outside. I was using a tablet for contol and was changing flight modes to try and correct the problem when I didn't notice it was slowly backing up toward my face. I raised a hand and swatted it away causing the props to stop. It fell on the grass feet first with no damage. I had a small cut on my hand that didn't require any treatment not even a bandage. I also discovered that below freezing the camera resolution breaks down. I had one warranty claim and that was on the battery. I've since added a sky controller, the big one, which gives much better contol. The new smaller one came out a month later. My only complaint about the controller is it isn't very stealthy. I don't like to draw attention to my self when I fly. The BB2 is very dependable and worth the $ 500 I paid for it. It can't be beat for the price.
Since i fly my bebop drone in my garden there is a lot of wifi inteference meaning i constanlty loose connection in 2.4ghz mode even when only a few meters away. When i switch it to 5ghz it only lets me do that when it is set to indoor mode and does not get a gps signal. How can i correctly set it to run at 5ghz and still have a gps signal (I am using an ipad which is connected to a skycontroller)
Hello everyone! I have an extra Flight Recorder from an AR Drone that is out of service. I'd like to use the internal GPS to make my own RPi drone, but how do you interface with the GPS inside? Any guides would be helpful. -David
Hi, I have tried flying out of WLAN range several times. Sometimes with iPhone only, sometimes with the Skycontroller. Most of the time, the iPhone and the Skycontroller did not reconnect automatically to the bebop. The bebop returned to home and than I have to try several things manually to reconnect it. On the iPhone: Leaving the FFpro App, going into settings, choosing the bebop WLAN manually, going back into FFpro App. On the skycontroller: turning off and on again Is that the way it should be? Is there no automatic reconnect? kind regards michael
