Re: Updating software through Mac

Yes it finally worked !!!!!

  1. I had to unplug and Switch OFF the Zik 3
  2. Switch back ON the Zik 3 (light turn WHITE)
  3. Press and keep pressing the button while repluging the Zik 3 (light fast blink in RED)

The Zik 3 mounts likje a disk !

Re: Updating software through Mac

Hi Gus,

I have the same OS version but it works fine for me.

The headphone should appears as a USB key on the desktop.

Did you try to change USB port ?

Re: Updating software through Mac

Thank you for the reply!

I'm still having trouble. I've managed to get it to the point where the red LED is flashing, but nothing is happening now. I'm getting no notification that a driver has installed and I can't see the Zik as a device anywhere as far as I can tell.

I'm on OSX 10.11.4 if that helps.

Hi Gus,

You have to :

- Turn on the headphone

- Then, press the On/Off button and while pressing, plug the USB cable

Updating software through Mac

Hi

I'm having problems updating my Zik 3 through the app and customer support have suggested I instead do it through my computer. However I can't work out how to get the Mac to install the neccessary drive. The instructions on the website here aren't particularly clear:

  1. Connect the Parrot Zik 3 to your computer (PC or Mac) using a USB / micro-USB cable.
To connect mass storage, keep pressing ON/OFF button then plug the USB cable.
    > The red ZIK_on_off.png icon blinks.

"Keep pressing ON/OFF then plug the USB cable...." Not sure what this means.

Has anyone had any luck with this on a Mac specifically?

Thanks
