So. my Original battery died 2 years ago. It just couldn't fly for more than 5m or more. So I bought a 3s 1100mah and a 1500mah(hasn't arrived yt) batttery and ripped the shell of the dead battery and soldered a xt60 connector to the shell. the drone is overall lighter this way too.
but the problem is I had no problems flying but after taking off the battery goes down by nearly 20-30% really fast after taking off making it auto land before even taking off compeletly. the battery's voltage is 11.5-8V which is around 50%. the initial percantage is correct, but once you take off even with 100% it goes down by 30%~ instantly and that makes it fly until it's around 40%~
ok so I got a 1800mah battery (164grams) and it doesn't suddenly drop charge!
and it lassts 11minutes! is this normal?
I was thinking of buying a 200gram 2200mah battery, but like all the third arty bebop batterie are like 180grams at 2500mah 0_0 how is this even possible? no cells on the internet are that light!
I have glued together a bunch of coins that combined with my 1800mah are 200grams! I'll see if my drown can handle the weight!
but 11m is still to little :c specially for a 1800mah battery!
11 minutes is just about right for an 1800mah battery.
I have Bebop Parrot 1 Drone.
Have been an owner for years.
A few month ago i bought a new smartphone and reinstalled FreeFlight Pro on it, trying to connect to my account - and that's where i got first issue. It couldn't open the page trying to link me to "accounts.parrot.com", when i click "my.parrot" in the app. Internet is working, other pages work correct in different browsers and apps.
The second issue showed up when i came here. I had my old time account that was even in "drone academy", and i tried to log in with it and nothing worked. I tried to get new password via my email and it worked, then i tried to sign in and check - i have no drones and no history here.
I hope to get any support here, cause i also bought a flight plan for FreeFlight app a few years ago, i have all the information about it, but for now i can't even log in via FreeFlight App and my data (inc. flight plans, flight history and etc. etc. seems it was removed).

I had a problem with a bebob drone that was 5 months old and had little use ... Basically it went crazy and flew away.
I contacted parrot support and was told the issue was as a result of a critically low battery - I forwarded screen shots that clearly show the battery at 49%..
Basically I am not satisfied with the parrot aftersales service and I made this fact known by email.
i asked for contact details for supervisory/management level staff as I need to have my case escalated and resolved but lately the parrot support email replies have become less and less frequent.
I would like to have this issue resolved and was wondering if anyone could advise who I could contact ... I have provided so much information and the issue was clearly caused by a faulty parrot product but the after sales tactic seems to be to frustrate and ignore customer emails to the point that the customer will loose interest and drop the case ..
Anyone with similar experiences or suggestions of who I could contact ?
Parrot have offered me a 20% discount on a new drone ... as if I would want to waste any more money on an unreliable product...
I have checked out with the European small claims court and for a fee of €25 I can issue proceedings in order to recouperate the money have have spent on the product that lasted less than 3 hours ...
Just bought a new (Refurb) Bebop drone.
I immediatelly observed, that there is missing the ultrasonic sensor's metallic cap. I have another B1, that one has a metallic cap, this one doesn't. That would'nt be a problem, but:
On first startup, despite the calibration and flat trim, after the drone rised up to about 30m, it started to flew away uncontrollable. I hit RTH and landing, it hit some power lines and fell down. Luckily, no damage, it was tall and thick grass. But quite a shocking for a first flight. No flyaways observed after, but in change i occured a strange situation: After climb to 50m, it doesn't want to descent, only if hit landing. This issue appears in 50% percent, when is, it descents in small 30-50cm hops, as it sees ground beneath. It is possible this due missing sensor cap? At one moment, when hit landing, it dropped down from 1 m. I checked on my other drone, the sensor seems to be tinned directly on board as I see. It migh be defective? or it should be uncalibrated due the missing cap?
This sounds more than plausible....
Do you know if it should be ok to make a small collar from plastic material?
Thanks for answer; gonna try this afternoon after work.
Yes. Any hard plastic should work. It will need to have a smooth, reflective surface.
hello. I've read a number of gps threads on this board (there are a lot) and have tried a number of suggested fixes. I made an account to hopefully get some more insight, and point me in the direction of a fix. I believe the gps board is bad.
I've had the Bebop 1 for around 6 months now and fly it often. I bought it refurbished and it has been on firmware 4.0.6. Recently it was in a bad crash after clipping a tree on a Flight Plan flight, 60 - 70 foot fall on to the asphalt parking lot of a church. Battery case was cracked and all 4 motor cages were bent, since repaired. Before flying again, I did a factory reset.
The gps version information no longer shows up in Free Flight Pro or AR Pro 3 and it also won't acquire a single satellite no matter how long I leave it powered up outside under a clear sky. Unplugging the board makes the Bebop impossible to connect to with Free Flight Pro. I've checked the cable connections and given them a shot of deoxit. I even cleaned up the antenna with brasso, like one poster had suggested lol. It didn't do anything, but it sure looks great.
Today I was able to telnet into the Bebop and revert the firmware back to 3.3.0. Doing this did cause the gps rom info to show up in Free Flight Pro and AR Pro 3. Free Flight Pro won't allow me to fly with that version of the firmware, but AR Pro would and it still would not acquire any satellites. I allowed Free Flight Pro to update it to both 4.0.5 and 4.0.6, and it no longer sees the gps info and still won't acquire any satellites.
So does this sound like the gps board is bad or is the main board borked? Neither show any evidence of physical damage. Thanks for any help.
bump. I ordered another gps board on ebay today, I'll see what happens.

Probably the right choice. It looks like you've tried everything except swapping it out. I hope you get back in the air soon!
I've been flying the same flight plan over and over making adjustments.
Two problems have popped up that I can't seem to solve.
1. Camera won't point down at POI's unless I edit the flight plan.
2. Flight speed between waypoints 1 thru 7 seem very fast at 5 m/sec and the last leg I want it to drop low and speed up to 10 m/sec but it seems to slow down.
I have strong GPS and WiFi thru out the flight
Does the drone have to stay within WiFi range of the controller while flying to the different waypoints?
Nope. That's one of the great (but sometimes scary) features of FP. Once you hit start, your drone becomes truly autonomous. You no longer need a connection for it to complete the plan.
Scary? Well, as your drone is disappearing over the horizon on a 12 minute flight and you just lost your video feed, that 12 minutes of waiting for it to complete its plan is going to seem like an hour. You start thinking of everything that might have gone wrong, and your stress level goes up and up, then (finally) you hear that familiar "swarm of bees" noise, and here comes your drone - landing right at your feet, just like you programmed it!
I would like to add OSD overlays to my Disco videos. I've downloaded FlightDataManager (V3.4.1), and Garmin's Virb editor as well as data from one of my videos. My problem is trying to install the Garmin Virb GPS templates - I get a popup that says "script error". I'm running on a Lenovo desktop with Windows 10.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Can anyone suggest a solution? Is there some other way to obtain the templates and install them?
I can send you the files needed if you send me your email address. After uncompressing the zip files, you have to copy to this:
The gauges shall be stored in this folder:
The GPS overlay templates shall be stored in this hidden folder:
I currently use Win 10 and Virb edit 5.1.2. with no problems.
I got a Bebop from a frend of my with a small problem. It goes to the right instead of taking off. Latest firmware is installed, wifi connection is normal and there ar no error messages. it may be that the drone has had an accident. I found 1 propeller with considerable damage. ( this is a extra set of propellers ) the one on the bebop look like normal and good ) So befor I start ordering spare parts. what can be the problem.
Propellors are correct instald. Full center on the flat engine ( diagonally opposite the same ) propellor with a central hole on hte engine with the central screw.
thank you all in advance
If you look at the cable on the photo, you see one strange thing.
All the cables are black, white, green. But there is one cable of the motor black green white.
And gues what.... its the motor that is not spinning the right way!
So that is strange, I switch the cable layout to black white green. And it seems to be the solution
I have to test it tomorrow becouse its to late to do it now.
Olá amigos sou brasileiro e vim aqui deixar meu relato.
