In fllightplanner. What is automatic progressive course ?
The progressive course allows the drone to orientate smoothly towards the next waypoint.
From A to B, the arrows show the progressive direction of the drone between these two waypoints.

Thank you for helping! If I use a 10.1" Chinese tablet, can it be used as a monitor only? Or does the tablet still have functionality with the drone when using the SC1? I've learned that the tablet's wireless specs must have “Built-In 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless” in order to have both 2.4 & 5.0 wifi capability. Also, the tablet must have Cell capability for GPS. I'm assuming that these specifications are only needed if I want to fly the drone with the tablet only. I do not wish to fly the drone with a tablet only. Can I use the Chinese tablet (or any tablet for that matter) strictly as a monitor with the SC1 performing all of the GPS & both wifi frequencies functions? Is this how the tablets work when used with the SC1??? Thanks again.
1. You can use any tablet as monitor only (first SC connection with BB must be established and then you must open tablet's wifi and connect it to SC through FreeFlight app).
2. If it is a tablet with GPS and android 5.0 or newer it can be used as controller (in this case you can leave SC at home)
3. In both cases, FreeFlight app must be installed in the tablet.
4. Remember that if you go with option 1 (monitor) still you have the ability to use the tablet as controller (actually hit the co-pilot button in the app!)
5. You need wifi 802.11a/b/g/n in any case but all tablets have it.
6. Chinese means low cost to me, but I will advice for a known brand tablet!
Please tell me what firmwares you use for both SC and BB1 and also what FF version.

Hi. Basically the quality of the video feed is 1280X720 at its best. So you just need a tablet that has this screen resolution, if you plan to use it as a monitor only. Any chinese android 5.0 or 6.0 tablet from 7'' to 10'' is OK.
On the other hand you may consider using the HDMI output of the SC and connect a real video monitor, but this will cost you more in money and weight.

I bought the BB2 and Skycontroller 1 Black Edition about a month ago. I have tried to password protect the BB2 network by turning on the BB2, then connect my tablet, and setting a password. However, once I do, the Skycontroller Black will not connect to the BB2. I've had to remove the password just so the controller can connect. When I fly, I normally turn on the controller, connect the tablet to the controller, then turn on the BB2. What am I doing wrong?
You not doing anything wrong,i had different problems, password protect was one of them, have two bebop2 and i use different ways to connect skycontroller...what works with one bebop it doesnt work with seconds.....try this, set password in bebop, turn off bebop
turn on skycontroller,in tablet wifi setting connect to Skycontrollerxxx network, turn on bebop
in freeflightpro do skycontroller calibration first if controller button is red above fly and film,if is not red hit Connect above Fly and Film, find Bebopxxx network, hit Forget and hit Bebopxxxxx again.....if needed wait 5minutes,sometimes it takes 5 minutes to connect first time

I finally got it set, and connecting. I had to do it by hooking my Skycontroller 1 Black via HDMI to my TV. Using the FreeFlight in the firmware, I had to go to WiFi settings, select my BB2's network, and select forget. Next, I reselected my BB2's network, and, at that time, it brought up the keyboard and text box, allowing me to enter the password. Once that was done, the Skycontroller has remembered the password, and connected everytime.

It just dawned on me. It I connect the drone to the tablet and then tell it to forget the network, how can I installed firmware upgrades ?
Any time you want to connect to the drone directly, you can still just select it from your wifi list and connect! Forgetting a network simply keeps your tablet from automatically connecting to the drone (and hijacking it from your skycontroller). Right now it appears your tablet is taking over at times...

Hi Tim,try ipad Home button and Power button, press both buttons and hold till you get soft reset.....
try connecting....if it works first time but not second time, quick double press of home button will open task option, place finger at freeflightpro screen and slide it up to kill app, press home button to go back and hit freeflightpro app to restart freeflightpro app

I can't seem to get the follow me feature in freeflightpro to work. I get the green outline and the second box but nothing happens. Do you need a smartphone for this? I am using an Ipad.

I just reverted back to Android 4.4 and hardware reset the Bebop 2. Then did the calibration and Flat Trim. Left all settings alone (stock) except reduced recording to 720P. It worked! Now I can see FPV in the Galaxy Tab 3 connected to the SkyController connected to the Bebop 2. But really no telling what caused it. I suspect it was leaving the settings alone except for 720P. Or maybe it was Android 4.4. If any (computer) crashes occur, I will try upgrading to Android 7 and see if it works there too.
Also possible is that flipping/changing that video setting is what makes it work.

Changed to 1.9 gig flashdrive, nothing happened.
Note that to upgrade successfully, your USB drive must be formatted FAT32, not NTFS. And the update file, "nap_update.pls" should be in the root directory and the only file on the stick.
