Because i think I have been flying my drone wrong all day (new drone and first day using it) I have the BeBop 2 FPV Package and have noticed that when using the Skycontroller 2 it seems to lose sensitivity when the Skycontroller 2 is pointed at the drone, It seems to want me to stand side on to it.
Reading the board it would seem that i should have the WiFi disabled on my iPad mini and only use the skycontroller to fly the drone.
Is this correct?
Sorry if it's a dumb question!
The SC2 should be the only WiFi connection to the B2. Your iPad Mini connects to the SC2 via the USB cable, so turn off WiFi on the iPad - you don't need it while flying.

The SC2 should give you pretty good range even without the extender (though probably not as far as your Totolink!).
That said, if you're looking for a tactile way to fly, the Parrot Flypad is inexpensive, well made, has a phone holder, and works well with the Bebop via FreeFlight Pro. And you can use it with your existing extender.

It is my opinion that the green box is part of the phones VR system. I think it may be for orientation sight alignment for the phone and app but has no relevance to OSD and FPV. I only have the green box come up when I am not connected to the drone but am looking through the phones lens while wearing the goggles. Once connected to the drone and looking through its camera lens I no longer see the green box. After some research, if I am in error I will correct this post.
The red crosses are really tiny drone icons and pop up at the top and bottom and left and right of the screen to alert you that the Skycontroller 2's antenna is not facing the Bebop so as to receive the optimum signal. Adjusting your controller toward the red icons will make them disappear. I hope you enjoy FPV and have many great flights.

I picked up a SC 2 at a good price to fly my Bebops 1 & 2. Really enjoy using it except that the the sticks have a large dead zone around center. I have been flying with a phone and gamepad and that combination feels more precise and connected. Does anyone know how to adjust the dead zone of the SC 2 sticks?
Connect BB2 and SC2,open FFPro,in right upper corner tap Controler icon ,tap this 2 icons to adjust sensitivity, this might be what you looking for

I've had mixed results but the SC2 seems to have better 2.4GHz range. This might be because there's only one WiFi signal to deal with (you use USB to connect the phone/tablet to the SC2) but there's no 5.8GHz option for the SC2 so no way to compare... Though, where I often fly, 5.8GHz has better range because of the 2.4GHz interference (mostly other people with 2.4GHz drones).
